Throughout its history, Nike has been known for continued innovation in the running world. Today, the Swoosh debuts the brand new Zoom Series, a collection of silhouettes showcasing Zoom Air and ZoomX cushioning.
Four new models the collection: the Air Zoom Pegasus 36, Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2, Zoom Fly 3, and ZoomX VaporFly Next%. For the first release, each has been drenched in a vibrant neon green color scheme with black detailing.
One of the highlights of the pack is the Zoom Fly 3. Nike has introduced improvements to the translucent runner like a higher arch, inner bootie, arch-band lacing system for a more customizable fit, and a React midsole housing a full-length carbon fiber plate. Cosmetically, the standout detail of the design is the large Swoosh streaking across the lateral side panel.
This latest installment of Nike's all-time best-selling runner, the Air Zoom Pegasus 36, has been upgraded with a breathable engineered mesh upper, Flywire underlays, and a thinner tongue and heel for additional comfort. The upper sits atop a Cushlon midsole encapsulating full-length Zoom Air. The Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 has also been upgraded with a more lightweight upper and midfoot band for lockdown.
The newest iteration of the top-of-the-line Zoom VaporFly line, the ZoomX VaporFly Next%, is another pair worth paying attention to. It introduces Vaporweave, a material that is lighter and less absorbent than Flyknit. 15 percent more ZoomX foam has been added in comparison to its predecessor. A new outsole tread to better handle wet terrains and an asymmetrical lacing setup complete the design.
Select Nike Plus members will able to purchase the Nike Zoom Series starting on June 27 ahead of its global launch on July 11. All four models will also be added to Nike's By You customization platform on July 8. Take a closer look at each runner below.
