After getting a first look at one of the Pegasus Turbo colorways from the collection earlier this year, Nike has finally officially unveiled its latest Gyakusou range with Jun Takahashi for Spring 2019.
Like Gyakusou collections before it, the latest offering will focus on blending functional running apparel with the inspiration of the urban landscape. Packable weatherproof jackets, Dri-Fit base layers, and tight knit shorts in an earth-toned color palette of burgundy, yellow, and green will all be available.Â
"I intentionally include earthy colors. It is important to bring together my aesthetics with Nike’s functionality," said Takahashi in an official press release.Â
The highlight of the collection will be the three sneakers: two pairs of the Pegasus Turbo and a VaporFly 4%. Both colorways of the Pegasus Turbo utilize green and yellow color schemes, and incorporate details like Gyakusou branding down each toe, a toggle lacing system, and reflective detailing perfect for night running. The VaporFly 4% opts for a burgundy Flyknit upper, large Swoosh printed on the lateral side panel, and Gyakusou script wrapping the ankle collar.Â
Look for the entire Nike Gyaskusou Spring 2019 collection to hit select retailers like nike.com on Feb. 28.Â
