The bulky low-top originally dropped this past September at a pop-up event held in New York City. Stock was extremely limited—only 250 pairs of each colorway (500 total) were up for grabs. Now, the "Black/Black" and "Black/White" SRLos are getting a global launch. The surprise release was officially revealed by ASAP Rocky earlier today via Instagram. The video clip was accompanied by a snippet from a brand new track by Pretty Flacko that featured an audio sample of Tony Montana from the classic movie Scarface.
Largely inspired by skate culture of the late '90s and early 2000s, more specifically Dave Mayhew's Osiris D3, the SRLo sports a mix of leather and mesh across the upper. Standout details include a reflective lacing cage, ribbed rubber toe cap, chunky midsole, and an extra puffy tongue synonymous with skate shoes of the era. A large rubber tongue tag covered in various text, and a black and yellow logo inspired by his latest album Testing act as the main branding on the sneaker. Staying true to Under Armour's performance mentality, the model features HOVR cushioning in the midsole as well.
