If the rumors are true, the "Super Moon Yellow" Adidas Yeezy 500 can be expected to receive a wider release later this year. According to Yeezy Mafia, the original colorway of the 500 will re-release globally this May.
This tonal color scheme of Kanye's chunky "dad shoe" originally dropped in December 2017, but could only be copped with one frustrating caveat. The $200 pairs were initially released as a part of a bundle along with $240 shorts and a $320 hoodie on the Yeezy Supply website. Anyone who shelled out the money for that drop will be receiving their pairs shortly (if they haven't already), but if the rumors prove to be true, those who were patient will be able to grab the sneaker for a significantly less painful hit on their bank account.
While Yeezy Mafia's leaks have been fairly accurate in the past, it is worth noting they have recently faced some criticism from Mrs. Yeezy herself, Kim Kardashian West. She refuted claims made by the Twitter account regarding information about Yeezy Season 7's lack of apparel at a recent showroom. Kardashian West was also quick to point out the account is "NOT affiliated" with Kanye's camp and "posts fake color ways." Since the debacle, Yeezy Mafia has clarified the fumbled wording of its original tweets.
An official confirmation from Adidas has yet to be announced, but look for the Adidas Yeezy 500 "Super Moon Yellow" to make its return in May 2018 for $200.
