Kim Kardashian is striking back at claims that were made earlier today regarding the fate of Yeezy Season 7. In a since-deleted tweet (seen below), leaker group Yeezy Mafia claimed that stockists who were invited to view the collection were met with an empty showroom and told that there would be no apparel or accessories—only footwear—included in the line.
The reality star-slash-wife of Kanye West went directly at the source of the information, not only refuting the claims but attacking the verified Twitter credentials of the leaker group.
How can a verified account represent Yeezy with false information. You do NOT work for Yeezy and NOT affiliated. How are you gonna believe an account that posts fake color ways 😂😂😂 https://t.co/xkaYC98G7u— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) March 6, 2018
Season 6 was genius. All of my Japan looks are season 7 & will be online soon. Yeezy does not play by fashion rules. The show room was strictly shoes & always intended for that. https://t.co/xkaYC98G7u— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) March 6, 2018
YEEZY HAS ITS OWN UNIVERSE #SEASON7— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) March 6, 2018
The leaker group has proven itself to be a fairly reliable source of Yeezy related information, and has been sourced by this site in the past. It's worth noting, however, this not the first time its information has been disputed by a celebrity endorser. After calling out grime artist Stormzy for wearing fake Yeezy sneakers at the 2017 MTV EMAs, the rapper disputed those claims and was backed up by Adidas exec John Wexler who stated that the sneakers were 100 percent real.
Sole Collector reached out to Yeezy Mafia about the deleted tweet. In an email response, a member of the leaker group reiterated the claim that there would be only footwear—no apparel or accessories—in Yeezy Season 7.
