The Nike Cortez is ingrained into the culture of Los Angeles. Adding to the history between the sneaker and the west coast locale is this latest collaboration with Maria Sharapova dubbed the Nike L.A. Cortez.
Inspired by the city's "high style," the Cortez LA combines the tennis star's favorite sneaker and favorite city. The color palette takes cues from the coastal sunrise. The upper is composed of a premium tan leather and suede with subtle hints of gold detailing on the dubrae, tongue, and heel branding. A darker brown leather is used on the heel and midsole and a debossed Swoosh completes the refined design.
Sharapova's Nike L.A. Cortez launches March 1 at Nordstrom x Nike Sneaker Boutiques and nordstrom.com. A second drop will occur the following day through Nike SNKRS, Nike The Grove, and Nike Santa Monica.
