Description
The Nike Cortez made its debut in 1972 and was one of the first running sneakers released by Nike. Designed by Bill Bowerman, they featured a clean upper with a full length EVA foam midsole and a rubber outsole molded in a herringbone pattern. They regained popularity when they were worn on screen by Tom Hanks in the film, Forrest Gump. The Cortez has been retroed numerous times in various styles, colorways and versions.
