The Nike Kyrie 2 is one of three Nike Basketball models releasing on Aug. 22 in a "Gold Medal" colorway that's an obvious nod to the achievements of the USAB squad at Rio. The date here is relevant because the gold medal game for Olympic basketball will be played on Aug. 21.
Kyrie's shoe is not overt with its references to the Olympics, but does have an American flag emblem on the insole and metallic gold detailing in its accents.
Releasing on the same day are "Gold Medal" versions of the LeBron Soldier 10 and KD 9.
