The Air Jordan 15 is set to return in 2016. The sneaker will retro this month via a limited edition collaboration centered around Kubo and the Two Strings, a movie from animation studio Laika that opens in August.
What's the connection between the film and Jordan Brand? Laika is owned by Nike co-founder and chairman Phil Knight and run by his son Travis. The studio has previously collaborated with Nike for high-profile releases like the Coraline Dunks and the Paranorman Foamposites.
The shoe was introduced via the below teaser video from Complex.
Watch for an unveil of the Kubo x Air Jordan 15 soon, complete with input from Nike design legend Tinker Hatfield.
