The Reebok Phase 1 debuted in 1985 as part of Reebok's original tennis shoe lineup. The sneaker was billed as the first all-leather shoe that did not require any break-in time. Reebok offered a 21 day try-out of the Phase 1, promising to both return the purchaser's money and send a can of tennis balls if they were not completely satisfied with their purchase. Although it is no longer used for tennis performance, the sneaker has become the preferred canvas for many collaborations.
