The Nike Air Bakin was originally released in 1997 and worn on-court by Tim Hardaway. They were recalled due to backlash from the Muslim community for the "Nike Air" logo on the back heels slight resemblance to ‘Allah’ in Arabic text. When they were first retroed in 2007, they featured the generic "Nike Air" font branding on the back heel.
