The Nike Shox BB4 was the first basketball sneaker to feature Nike Shox technology. Originally worn on-court by Vince Carter, they debuted in 2000 and were designed by Eric Avar. They feature a molded synthetic leather upper, Phylon midsole, Zoom Air unit in the forefoot, and an exposed Nike Shox column in the heel. The Nike Shox BB4 was retroed in 2009 and then again in 2012.
