During a time when basketball players were beginning to see their own signature lines, Ewing Athletics was then the first line to be started by the Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing. Ewing’s success came at an early stage during his time at Georgetown and carried throughout his NBA career. After being selected one overall in 1985, by New York, he launched his company in 1989 and saw instant success and popularity. The signature line has released a total of 23 different sneakers, with the last one releasing in 1995. The Ewing 33 HI is considered to be the most popular sneaker from the line and has been the only model to see multiple releases, in various colorways.
