XX8 Days Of Flight // Tinker Hatfield's Original XIII Concept

We're all familiar with the Air Jordan XIII now fifteen years later, but check out one of Tinker's original concept sketches, with quite a few differences.

Dated 8.22.96, you're looking at one of Tinker Hatfield's original concept sketches for what would become the Air Jordan XIII.

As is often the case during the design and development  stage, quite a bit changed.

Tinker initially thought to include a midfoot strap to harness in Michael's game, with the Schoeller Dynatec mesh upper and TPU-injected suede-wrapped midsole both playing huge early roles.

There's no telling what exactly was in store had the brand gone forward with its "J Gas Cushioning" system that Tinker incorporates into this sketch, but it's definitely fun to imagine.
