Perhaps an indication of increased star power on the gridiron, we're seeing signature football athlete products being churned out by brands again this season. While Tom Brady's name certainly rings out, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is the play caller of the future, and Under Armour is celebrating his highlight reel game and charismatic personality by introducing the very first pair of Cam signature cleats.
The UA Cam Highlight inherits design and tech established by its predecessor, the original UA Highlight. Retained on the super high-cut, ultra-light silhouette is CompFit construction, delivering a snug feel for an added boost of speed. In addition to the UA logo on the toebox, Cam's new "C1N" logo is displayed on the lateral heels of each cleat.
Newton is expected to debut the UA Cam Highlight in Tampa Bay today, with a retail launch scheduled for next spring.
