In the mid-90s, Grant Hill’s FILA signature line was on par with any other, and one of the world’s biggest musicians took notice. Thumbing through the CD liner for Tupac Shakur’s 1996 album All Eyez on Me revealed a photo of the rapper donning all-denim attire, along with arguably Hill’s most popular signature shoe, the FILA Grant Hill 2. According to Hill, he does remember sending Tupac some sneakers, but was never able to verify if the pair he wore for the photo shoot was one of those pairs. Either way, mutual admiration was shown between two of the biggest stars of that time and the photo has become an iconic image in sneaker culture.

On Today’s Season 13 premiere of Full Size Run, Basketball Hall of Famer and lifetime member of the FILA family Grant Hill revealed a never-before-seen GH2 Low collaboration with the Tupac Shakur estate. The white-based rendition features tan accent hits, including a bandana-printed interior. Tupac’s official logo adorns the straps that wrap around the heels and a replica version of his signature is printed along the side.

According to Hill, the Tupac x FILA Grant Hill 2 Low will release sometime this fall. Keep an eye out for updates in the coming months.
