After delivering his “Sorrel Red” Jazz 81 collab in November, Trinidad James and his apparel brand Hommewrk have linked up with Saucony yet again to deliver a new colorway of the sneaker.
Like its predecessor, the latest offering between the collaborators will celebrate the Atlanta rapper’s Trinidadian culture with a new “Carnival Black” colorway inspired by the first pair of sneakers he owned when he migrated from Trinidad to America.
The shoe features a predominantly black leather upper that’s coupled with matching suede overlays while gold Hommewrk branding appears on the tongue and heel. The materials are the same as the “Sorrel Red” colorway, but unlike that style, this new pair features a three-tone glow-in-the-dark outsole. James’ hometown inspiration is emphasized by embroidery behind the tongue depicting a gold steel pan, a reference to Trinidad and Tobago’s Panorma competition.
This “Carnival Black” Hommewrk x Saucony Jazz 81 collab will be released on Feb. 16 exclusively at Hommewrk.com for $110. A global release will follow on Feb. 18 at Saucony.com and at select Saucony retailers.
