The brand with the three stripes scored major points with traditionalists this year with the Made in France adidas Superstar.
Those are long gone at most stockists by now, but there are still more adidas Originals Superstar 80s pairs to be had. They aren't quite so true to the first versions of the shoe, but they're a lot more affordable as a result. For what it's worth, this is the "Deluxe" build, which means the thinner tongue more in line with the original (although it does lose some points for the thinner stripes across the side and the superfluous branding on the back).
