Though Comic-Con is mostly known for showcasing the latest in animation, video games and toys, the annual event is also good for the occasional piece of breaking sneaker news. Back in 2010, the TRON x adidas TS Heat Check made its official debut at Comic-Con. Last year, director Kevin Smith and etnies used the platform to unveil their "SMEAKERS" collaboration. This time around it's FILA looking to make the big splash as they prepare to 'shell' out a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle-inspired collection.

Previewed below is the TMNT FX-100, decked out in turtle green with shell embroidery on the heel and a contrasting gum rubber sole. The shoe comes complete with interchangeable canvas cross-straps representing Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael.

Additionally, there's an all-new Cage colorway inspired by Foot Clan leader and Turtle archenemy Shredder. The shoe sports a grey, black and purple upper, while the 'cage' symbolizes the villain's famous metal helmet.

According to display cards, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x FILA collection is heading to retail this holiday season.
