Even though he later went on to win a championship in 2011 with the franchise that drafted him, it was Jason Kidd's stop in New Jersey during the 2000s where he cemented his status of one of the most versatile point guards in league history. Following through on his promise to "turn this team around 360 degrees," JKidd carried a balanced Nets squad all the way to the 2002 NBA Finals in his first full season there.

Kidd averaged 14.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 9.9 assists per that year and finished 2nd in MVP voting. He was just that good.
