Frequent collaborators Salehe Bembury and New Balance are getting back together soon for a colorful sneaker collab coming soon.

The designer shared the first look at his forthcoming New Balance 990v2 collab on Instagram this week but not much else is currently known about the project at the time of writing. Although the inspiration behind the project wasn’t revealed, the image shows that his take on the 990v2 will feature hairy suede overlay panels that appeared on the “Peace Be the Journey” 2002R collab from 2020. Additional details on the shoe are purple accents on the ‘N’ and 990 branding on the sides and tongue. Wrapping things up below is an orange Abzorb midsole and a purple outsole.

Despite an early look from Bembury, release details for his New Balance 990v2 collab have not yet been made official by either of the parties involved. Keep it locked to Sole Collector for new developments in the coming weeks.
