After giving her an early gift in the form of All-Star Game MVP honors this past Sunday, Russell Westbrook wished his mother a happy birthday on his Air Jordan XX9 PE sneakers worn in tonight's game against the Dallas Mavericks.
The message 'Happy Birthday, Mom' was displayed across the toebox of his unreleased colorway, styled in the team colors of the Thunder. Last season, the same message was visible on the outsole of his Air Jordan XX8 SE PE.
Also giving mom a big smile, Westbrook had 34 points, 10 assists and 5 rebounds to lead the Thunder to a 104-89 victory over the Mavs. For the first time this season, the Thunder are in playoff position.
