There may not be anybody playing better basketball than Russell Westbrook at the moment. In the last 10 games, the 3-time All-Star is averaging 30.3 points, 7.5 assists and 6.6 assists. Today, Westbrook was faced with the challenge of leading the Oklahoma City Thunder into San Antonio for a matchup against the world champs without his sidekick.
No Durant, no problem. Westbrook went off for 34 points, 11 assists, 5 rebounds and 5 steals to lead the Thunder in a big 114-106 win over the Spurs on the road.
Though he didn't debut a new Air Jordan PE, Westbrook still managed to keep things interesting with his Christmas #SoleWatch. He started the game wearing the 'Ultimate Gift of Flight' Air Jordan XX9, before switching into the 'Why Not' Air Jordan XX8 at halftime. A reason for the switch was not given by Westbrook.
