Your first thought when seeing Shaquille O'Neal's first Reebok signature shoe surface in an all-new purple and gold colorway is probably "Lakers," but this upcoming style actually pays homage to Shaq's three years playing under Coach Dale Brown at Louisiana State University.

From 1989 to 1992, Shaq led the Tigers to three NCAA Tournament appearances. In that time, he was a two-time All-American, two time SEC Player of the Year and won NCAA Player of the Year in 1991. After leaving LSU early to enter the 1992 NBA Draft, Shaq fulfilled a promise to his mother and returned to complete his bachelor's degree in 2000. He went on to be inducted into the LSU Hall of Fame and now has a bronze statue in front of the Tigers' practice facility.

The LSU Reebok Shaq Attaq is decked out in a bold purple and gold colorway, white helping break things up a bit on the laces and midsole. What really stands out on this shoe are tiger stripes along the collar and lining.

Expected to release in 2014, take a closer look at the "LSU Tigers" Shaq Attaq below and stick with us for much more from Magic Vegas this week.
