In late 2001, the Philadelphia 76ers introduced an alternate blue uniform, adding to its rotation of home white and away black. That era of Sixers threads was retired in 2009, but fans generally remember it with fondness—so much that Reebok is dropping a new colorway of Allen Iverson’s Answer 4 inspired by the alternate look.
Iverson was wearing the Answer 5 by the time those uniforms were unveiled, so the “Alternate” Answer 4 is essentially an imagination of what this colorway would have looked like had it been an original release. In addition to the vibrant blue paneling and lining, further confirmation of the inspiration can be found on the pull tabs, which mimic the uniform’s trim.
The “Alternate” Answer 4 will release on Friday, Oct. 7 for $150 at reebok.com and Reebok retailers.
