Thirty years ago, Reebok introduced one of its all-time iconic silhouettes — the Classic Leather. To celebrate this milestone, the brand linked up with members of its global Certified Network to design special make-ups of the timeless model. One of the collaborators called on was New Jersey's Packer Shoes, who officially unveils the "Aztec" Classic Leather.
In 1979, Reebok launched the Aztec, its first ever running shoe released on US soil. At $60, it was the most expensive runner on the market. Pulling cues from the Aztec, the Packer Shoes x Classic Leather features a mixture of premium materials. High grade suede works the shoe's upper; perforated nubuck runs along the toebox; ballistic mesh side panels enhance breathability; Vector logos are formed with distressed leather; and Packer Shoes branding appears on the insoles and tongues.
The Packer Shoes x Reebok Classic Leather “Aztec” will release this Saturday, March 23 at 12 p.m. noon EST both in-store and online at PackerShoes.com. Retail is set at $130.
