Hate to pile it on, but things are getting worse for Odell Beckham Jr.
In addition to losing his appeal of a one-game suspension earlier today, it looks like the Pro Bowl wideout may have bought his father a pair of fake Air Jordans for Christmas. Earlier today, Odell Beckham Sr. showed off his new pickup on Instagram along with the caption, "Thx Son!!! Early Xmas gift."
One problem — the "OVO" Air Jordan 6 isn't any more real today than it was when it was confirmed fake by Jordan Brand reps back in 2014. In fact, the shoe is a replica based on an April Fool's joke photoshop that was posted by sneaker website Sneaker Freaker. Unfortunately, the knockoffs are still being produced and unsuspecting shoppers are paying top dollar for them.
Surely, some will suggest that Beckham has an inside hookup because of his status as a celebrity athlete, but word from the brand itself trumps that optimism. Beckham is used to burning DBs on Sundays, but in this case, he was the one who was burned.
