For most major sporting events, Nike will look to utilize a platform of global attention to launch their latest batch of innovation and touted tech, and this summer's upcoming World Cup is no different.

After already debuting the Magista, a boot that Nike claimed would "change football boots forever," the brand's second Flyknit-based boot was unveiled earlier today in Madrid.

The latest addition to the heralded Mercurial series features a full Flyknit upper with Brio cables knitted into the boot's upper, along with a full-length carbon fiber chassis plate with traction studs.

The Flyknit Mercurial will be available for pre-order at Nike.com on May 26th, and available in stores on June 12th.
