First seen in Jason Petrie's Facebook live chat last week, here's a closer look at the Kentucky Wildcats colorway of the Nike LeBron 9. As you know, Kentucky will be one of several official LeBron-sponsored schools for the upcoming NCAA Basketball season. The Kentucky LeBron 9 sports a Flywire-embedded black and royal blue upper with textile wings on the sides. White takes care of Swoosh branding and detailing on the heel pull-tab, while black resumes at the midsole. The heel Max Air unit is done in blue, sitting atop a white rubber outsole.
Lexington's Oneness will be selling the Kentucky 9 this Friday night at 12:01 a.m., which is technically Saturday morning. Look for other select Nike retailers to carry the shoe this weekend as well.
