When it comes to rolling out superhero-inspired custom sneakers, nobody does it better than Mache. He's particularly had success with Iron Man themes, even making a pair of Stark-flavored Nike LeBron 10s worn by the man himself while practicing for the NBA Finals in 2013. For his latest Iron Man project, Mache said he wanted to create a pair of sneakers that could pass as movie props.
The silhouette of choice this time around is the Nike Kobe 9 Elite, which bears a painted upper resembling the armor worn by the iron knight. While the paint job is impressive, it's the mock Arc Reactors on the tongues that really put Mache's latest creation over the top.
Now that he's done with the kicks, it's fair to say Mache made a pair worthy of passing as a prop. Hopefully somebody at Marvel is reading.
