In what's likely been a subtle salute to the 30th Anniversary of the Air Jordan 1, several Nike silos have been treated to the sneaker's iconic colors and blocking this year. The latest is the Internationalist Mid, a midcut take on a model that actually predates the original Jordan.
The influence here is unmistakable — the layout of the royal blue and black panels is directly pulled from the popular Jordan 1 colorway. The main difference is that it's finished off with a black rubber sole, as opposed to royal.
Pre-orders are being taken at asphaltgold beginning tomorrow and a nike.com release should follow shortly after.
