With #1CENTDAY now in our rearview, the countdown to the next Penny Hardaway celebration is on. This fall will mark the launch of his fifth official signature shoe, the Air Penny V, making its way to retail more than 14 years after the last model. Below, we preview two of the upcoming colorways in detail.
First, there's the Phoenix Suns colorway, which we've seen a couple times already. The style, of course, pays tribute to Penny's time in the desert from 1999 to 2004. Additionally, there's a brand new black and iridescent look that has already been linked to an "Invisibility Cloak" nickname. The shoe's prominent feature is a green and purple molded phylon wing that runs along the base.
No release information for the "Cloaks" at the moment, but you can pencil in the Phoenix pair for a December drop. Stick with Sole Collector for new developments and some exciting Penny-related happenings later this year.
