Earlier this week I attended an exclusive meeting with New Era to preview their Spring 2012 line.
They have another great line of hats hitting us next year. But the big news is what's coming up very soon. Launching in mid-November is the New Era By You program. New Era By You is New Era's take on customization much like NIKEiD. This program allows you the chance to customize your very own hat! You will be able to pick your favorite MLB team, anything from the current teams as well as Cooperstown classics like the Brooklyn Dodgers. Then, go nuts!
Everything on the hat is customizable from the brim to the MLB batter logo (should you choose to have that on your design). Even the team logos, New Era flag and each panel of the hat can be designed just how you want it. When launched, you will only be able to customize colors, but eventually it will expand into allowing you to use different materials as well. At launch, only the 59Fifty fitted cap will be available to customize, but in the future the 9Fifty snap back will be added as well. The price is set at $57.99, including shipping.
