Still wearing a protective mask following a broken nose suffered a week ago, LeBron James went out Monday night and played one of the finest games of his career. (The finest if we're only judging on scoring.)
It almost seems strange that 11 years into his career, which has included 4 MVPs, LeBron would just now have such a high scoring night. But remember, LeBron has never been a volume shooter. It only took him 33 shots to get to 61 points, by shooting 66.7%. (In comparrison, Kobe took 46 shots in his 81 point game, going for 60.1%.)
