#SoleWatch: Klay Thompson Sets Single Quarter Scoring Record in the Nike Hyperdunk 2014

Thompson outscored the Kings in the 3rd quarter by himself.

"The best movie I have ever seen," said Marreese Speights about teammate Klay Thompson's shooting display in last night's game against the Sacramento Kings. And surreal it seemed as Thompson knocked down all 13 of his shots in the 3rd quarter for a record setting 37 points. That's more than Jordan, Chamberlain or Bryant ever scored in a single frame.

The unforgettable quarter was part of a night on which Thompson scored a total of 52 points on 25 shots in 33 minutes. Behind his sharp shooting, the Dubs disposed of the King 126-101 for a franchise-best 18th consecutive victory at home.

"I was one of the luckiest NBA players ever to play with Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, David Robinson and some of the greatest players ever," Warriors coach Steve Kerr told reporters. "As many spectacular things as Michael did, which he did nightly, I never saw him do that."

Thompson, who will soon become an athlete on Chinese brand ANTA's roster, put together his historic night in a Player Exclusive colorway of the Nike Hyperdunk 2014. Today, those sneakers are likely on their way to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
