While up with her newborn son Saint this morning, Kim Kardashian was enjoying a little television when she came across a story of a young girl hoping to collect 2,000 pairs of shoes for nonprofit organization Soles4Souls. This prompted her to not only share the story with her 37+ million following, but offer to donate the shoes herself.
In a series of Tweets, Kim asked her fans to help her identify the girl whose story she saw on an episode of Dish Nation. She's likely referring to Amelia Flores, a 17-year old Kansas-based senior hoping to reach her goal of 2,000 pairs by Dec. 18. Flores first became familiar with Soles 4 Souls when the organization helped her family in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. Collecting shoes since the beginning of November, she already has 1,000 pairs with the support of classmates and locals. Meeting her goal just got a bit easier though, as Kim and Kanye West have offered to donate the remaining 1,000 pairs needed.
"I heard the cutest story of a girl who is trying to find 1000 pairs of shoes to donate to this charity Soles For Souls," said Kim. "They helped her during Hurricane Katrina. I think I know the designer of Shoe of the Year Award!"
Twitter quickly helped Kim identify Flores and she's already trying to get in touch with Soles4Souls, who may or may not be on the receiving end of 1,000 pairs of Yeezys soon.

"The quantity and quality of the Adidas and Kardashian Kollection donation from Kanye and Kim Kardashian West is really extraordinary," said Soles4Souls CEO and president Buddy Teaster. "The fact we are able to distribute them to people in need here in the US is an even bigger deal."
