Every once in a while, a sneaker customizer levels up and gets an actual collaboration with a brand. Those who do owe a lot to SBTG, who was one of the first custom designers to be tapped by a footwear company to design their own shoe.
He's back at it, this time teaming up with sneaker shop Kicks Lab in Japan and Asics. They got together for this Asics Gel Lyte V project, which stays in the military wheelhouse of Mark Ong's SBTG work. The shoe has botanical features along the mid panel and the SBTG logo on its tongue.
This Asics Gel Lyte V style will be available at Kicks Lab in Japan – no word yet on a U.S. release.
