Fresh off his first NBA Finals appearance and an All-NBA First Team nod, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum is set to lead his own signature shoe with Jordan Brand next year.

The news was first hinted at by Tatum on an episode of the Knuckleheads Podcast late last year, the All-Star saying that his own sneaker was “on the way.” Now, Sole Retriever is reporting that the Jordan Tatum 1 will debut as part of Jordan Brand’s Summer 2023 lineup.

While images of the Tatum 1 have not yet surfaced, there is some early information on the first group of colorways. “Zoo,” “St. Louis,” and “Pink Lemonade” themes will grace the shoe, carryovers from concepts used on Tatum’s recent Air Jordan Player Exclusives. “Zoo” refers to Tatum’s trips to the zoo with his son Deuce; “St. Louis” is a reference to his home city; and “Pink Lemonade” is one of his favorite drinks.

Another interesting piece of news from Sole Retrievers report is the Tatum 1’s price point. The shoe will retail at an affordable $120 in men’s sizing, even with Zion Williamson’s Zion 2 and $10 more than the recently introduced Jordan Luka 1. Jordan’s current group of signature athletes also includes veteran guards Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul.

Below is a look at the first wave of colorways that will release beginning in April 2023 via Sole Retriever. Keep an eye out for a first look and release updates in the months ahead.
