This summer, the Jordan Brand will introduce a follow-up to 2006's Spiz'ike, appropriately being called the Jordan Son of Mars. Referencing Spike Lee's character from the film She's Gotta Have It and early Air Jordan campaigns, the hybrid sneaker is comprised of elements from Air Jordan models III, V, VI and XX. With a launch set for the summer and the Olympic Games taking place in London around the same time, the Son of Mars is being released in a multi-color "Olympic" colorway.

The shoe sports a predominantly grey upper, accented by a black mudguard and Cement Grey elephant print overlays wrapped around the toebox and heel. Laces are done in green, while yellow handles Jumpman embroidery on the tongue and blue works the inner lining. The midsole is also done in blue and features speckled red Air Jordan V-style teeth detailing, leaving a translucent outsole to finish things off below.

Though there's no date for the "Olympic" Son of Mars yet, we do know they'll retail for $160. The general reaction on this model hasn't exactly been favorable, but we could say the same for the Spiz'ike when images of that shoe first surfaced. Will you be picking up any pairs of the Son of Mars?
