In addition to sharing a teaser of his upcoming “Inside Voices” New Balance 9060 collab last month, Joe Freshgoods has another project lined up with the Boston-based athletic brand.
This week, the Chicago-based designer shared on Instagram the first look at a previously-unseen New Balance 2002R style, which is part of New Balance’s forthcoming “Conversations Amongst Us” —led and directed by Joe Freshgoods himself. The shoe features a sail color scheme as its base and is coupled with brown trim on the side along with a multicolored “N” logo. Sticking with the clean execution is a white Abzorb and N-ergy midsole with a gum outsole.
Despite the preview, release details for this “Conversations Amongst Us” New Balance 2002R collab have yet to be announced by either of the parties involved but keep it locked to Sole Collector for official updates.
UPDATE (04/12): Along with the 550, New Balance has officially unveiled the upcoming “Conversations Amongst Us” 2002R. Part of a collection directed by designer and frequent New Balance collaborator Joe Freshgoods, the sneakers release Friday, April 15 for a retail price of $130.
