It appears that JJJJound will soon add to its lineup of collaborative sneakers this fall with this New Balance 991 collab on the way.
Longtime fans of the Montreal-based design studio may notice similarities between this shoe and the brownish JJJJound x New Balance 992 that dropped in 2020, as well at the JJJJound x New Balance 990v3 from 2018.
The newly leaked imagery of the unreleased 991, which was shared by @dane3fune on Instagram, shows that the collab dons various brown tones throughout the mesh-based upper. Breaking up the made-in-England look is a black ‘N’ logo at the midfoot as well as silver accents on the tongue and heel. Much like the aforementioned 992 and 990v3, a two-tone midsole and solid black outsole sit below.
At the time of writing, release details for this JJJJound x New Balance 991 in brown have not yet been announced by either of the parties involved. Check back soon for official updates.
UPDATE (02/02): Following a handful of leaks and teasers, JJJJound has officially announced its New Balance 991 collaboration. The made-in-England sneakers maintain a colorway similar to the brand’s previous 990v3 and 992 output.
The JJJJound x New Balance 991 will release next Thursday, Feb. 9 at jjjjound.com followed by a second drop from newbalance.com on Friday, Feb. 17.
