Extra Butter has more to come from its Vanguard Collection of adidas Originals collaborations, with the next couple entries again referencing director Wes Anderson's body of work.
As made clear by the video above that introduces the project, Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums are the movies alluded to here. Those unfamiliar with the Extra Butter's output on these sort of team ups should know that the shop almost always has a cinematic inspiration on its designs.
The two-shoe set features the adidas Stan Smith and the adidas Rod Laver.
Extra Butter hasn't yet announced the sneaker release date for this new project.
UPDATE 10/15: Extra Butter will release these sneakers on Oct. 20 via a release event at its LES shop in NYC at 7 p.m. EST, with a wider release to follow via Extra Butter online at 12 noon on Oct. 21. Updated imagery for the Rushmore-inspired Rod Laver ($100) and The Royal Tenenbaums-inspired Stan Smith ($100) appears below.
