Last spring, adidas Basketball stole headlines with the introduction of the adiZero Crazy Light, the lightest basketball shoe ever created. Utilizing a seamlessly bonded SPRINTWEB upper and ultra-lightweight SPRINTFRAME support chassis, the shoe tipped the scales at just 9.8 ounces. With the revolutionary design, adidas was able to find a basketball model outside of their signature lines and yearly Pro Model releases that not only resonated with performance-oriented wearers, but casual prospects as well. They'll look to do it all over again with the Crazy Light 2 is unveiled this spring.
Getting a jump on things, adidas-sponsored schools currently playing in the NCAA Tournament have slowly rolled out their respective school's colorway of the Crazy Light 2. In tonight's 75-70 win over Xavier, some members of the Baylor Bears squad laced up the upcoming model in an eye-catching "Electricity" colorway. The shoes match the adiZero Uniforms and Team Speed Crew Socks that they've worn throughout the month.
Take a look at Baylor's adidas adiZero Crazy Light 2 below. The shoe will launch on May 24.
