The people over at Athletic Propulsion Labs have never shied away from going above and beyond to make a splash, and the brand's latest stunt may be their biggest to date. According to the APL Twitter account, they'll be selling a basketball shoe priced at $2,505, the most expensive hoop model ever sold at a retail location. The kicks will be available today through APL's Pop Up Shop at the Saks Fifth Avenue Men's Store in Beverly Hills, California.
What do they look like? We have no idea, but APL promises pictures by 1 p.m. PST, so the wait won't be long. In the meantime, speculate over what could possibly drive a shoe north of $2,500 at retail.
