Back in 2019, Asics introduced their multi-shoe “Academic Scholar Pack” that featured new collegiate-inspired iterations of the Nimbus 21, Kayano 26, and Kayano 5. It turns out that wasn’t the only release in the series as the Japanese sportswear company confirmed that a new collection is coming soon.
Pictured here is the sophomore release of Asics’ “Academic Scholar Pack,” a two-shoe capsule that includes a new iteration of the fan-favorite Gel-Lyte 3 and GT-II. Similar to the first drop, both pairs are outfitted with a varsity-inspired color scheme starting with a two-tone blue and green suede upper while yellow accents appear throughout the sneakers. The Gel-Lyte 3 features a multicolor tooling while the GT-II sports a white midsole.
Asics’ second “Academic Scholar Pack” will be released at Asics.com and at select Asics retailers starting this Friday, April 1 with the Gel-Lyte 3, while the GT-II will arrive sometime in June. The first shoe retails for $120 while the latter pair is priced at $110.
