Michael Jordan Lawsuit Chicago

Michael Jordan headed to court in Chicago this week for a civil trial stemming from a grocery store coupon that he says used his image without permission.

The Las Vegas Sun reports that, as part of the proceedings, prospective jurors were asked if they considered Jordan an "idol or personal hero." While none of the jurors said they did, which is sort of surprising given that the trial is taking place in Chicago, Judge John Blakely later dismissed one man who said he idolized MJ.

One lawyer noted that, despite claiming to idolize Jordan, the man wasn't wearing Air Jordans. The judge joked that they should investigate to see if he was wearing any other Jordan-endorsed product.

"We should check if he was wearing Hanes," Blakely said.

Shame on that guy for getting his sneakerhead status called out in front of Michael Jordan himself.
