One of the Air Jordan 5’s biggest lasting influences on sneaker culture has been its use of 3M. And 2006’s release of the Green Bean 5s took 3M on a sneaker to a level only previously seen on the extremely limited Medicom III Dunk SBs. Rather than using it on the tongue only, like that found on the popular Black/Metallic Silver edition, the Green Beans had their entire uppers covered in 3M. That, along with their “Green Bean” trim, made it one of the most flashy Air Jordans to date. While not the most popular new retro colorway of all time, the shoe has maintained a solid fanbase, and its value has steadily risen over the past 8 years. Check out some of our favorite shots of the Green Beans below, and let us know what you think about this week’s Air Jordan Of The Week.
