Today, adidas unveiled a new colorway of the Rose 3.5 designed for Derrick Rose by fashion designer Jeremy Scott.
“I can’t thank Jeremy enough for creating this shoe,” said Rose. “I love sneakers and to have Jeremy take his time to create a shoe for me is crazy. This shoe is so cool, and having a chance to meet with Jeremy and talk about how he comes up with some of his designs was really fun.”
The two met in Los Angeles on June 27, where Scott presented Rose with the first pair of the limited edition sneaker that will launch at select retail locations for $225 on July 6.
“I really wanted to meld my world and Derrick’s world,” said Jeremy Scott. “I used his shoes as a canvas and created the coolest cherubs in the world for this shoe.”
The shoe features a clean, white full synthetic patent leather upper with printed cherubs in various poses and positions with different accessories. Rose's logo adorns the tongue in back, while Jeremy's logo appears on the backside of the tongue and insoles.
Launch dates in Europe will coincide with the D Rose Tour July 4-16 where Derrick will visit the adidas World Headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany and continues with visits to Milan, Italy; Belgrade, Serbia; Zagreb, Croatia; London, England; Paris, France and Madrid, Spain
