Today, adidas launched an all-new cleat for the NFL Combine — the adizero 5-Star 40.
At just 4.6 ounces, the new cleat combines elements from the adizero Prime and adizero 5-Star 3.0, the lightest shoes in track and football respectively.
Modeled after the 2012 London Olympics adizero Prime track spike, the adizero 5-Star 40 features a SprintWeb upper and ultra-lightweight mesh reinforced with a laminate composite that locks the foot over the plate. SprintStuds provide maximum toe-off acceleration by limited slippage during the first steps of the 40-yard dash, while SprintFrame offers balance between lightweight and stability.
You can purchase the adizero 5-Star 40 now at adidas.com for $150. Fans can also check out adidas Football on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for updates.
