Adidas hopes to slow the flow of fake sneakers via a new lawsuit asking for the closure 285 websites peddling counterfeit footwear, among them the obviously suspicious adidasfactorystore.com and yeezyboost350.net.
The Portland Business Journal reports that the sportswear brand, along with associated corporate entities, filed a federal lawsuit today in Florida asking for action. The defendants are listed as "Does," as adidas was unable to determine who is behind the shady websites.
Adidas is asking a federal judge to order that the websites be shut down and that those behind the sites pay damages.
